Privacy Policy
Effective October 2, 2026
This policy explains what information Public Signal (“we,” “us”) collects when you visit getpublicsignal.com (the “site”), how we use it, and the choices you have. If you have questions, email us at josh@getpublicsignal.com.
Information we collect
Information you give us. When you book a call, fill out a form, request early access, or email us, you may share your name, work email, company, website, and anything else you choose to include. Call bookings are handled by Calendly and some forms by Tally on our behalf.
Information collected automatically. On our marketing site, we and our service providers automatically collect information about your visit, such as your browser and device type, the pages you view and how you interact with them, the site that referred you, the date and time of your visit, and your IP address and the approximate location it indicates. This is collected using cookies and similar technologies (see “The tools we use”).
The interactive demo
Our interactive demo (at getpublicsignal.com/app) shows fictional sample data. It does not research your company, connect to your accounts, or use AI. You do not need an account to use it.
- Website you submit on our homepage. We record only the website’s domain (for example, example.com) and the time you submitted it. Paths, query strings, and anything else you type are dropped. We use this to understand interest in the demo, and we delete it automatically after 30 days.
- The demo link. The domain is also added to the demo link (for example, ?company_url=https://example.com). Like any page address, it reaches our hosting provider, Vercel, which keeps it in its request logs for a limited time, and it stays in your browser history.
- Your browser’s storage. Profile edits, notes, saved items, competitor lists, and tour progress you create in the demo are stored only in your browser. The demo does not send them to us. You can remove them by clearing this site’s data in your browser.
- Requests your browser makes. To show a company logo, your browser requests the icon file directly from the website you entered. The demo shows an example video thumbnail from YouTube (Google), and plays the example video in YouTube’s privacy-enhanced player only if you open it. If you use the competitor search, the name you type is sent to Wikidata, a public directory, to find matches.
- No analytics in the demo. Google Analytics, Microsoft Clarity, and RB2B do not run in the demo.
Early access requests
If you request early access, we store the email address and company domain you confirm, plus the time of the request. We use them to contact you about early access, to send launch updates, and to send other Public Signal news and offers. The form tells you this before you submit it.
You can unsubscribe from marketing emails at any time using the unsubscribe link in any marketing email we send, or by emailing josh@getpublicsignal.com. After you unsubscribe, we stop sending you marketing emails. We keep your request until you ask us to remove it, and for no longer than 24 months. To have it removed entirely, email josh@getpublicsignal.com.
Preventing abuse
To limit spam on our demo and early access forms, we turn your IP address into a one-way code and count requests per code. We never store the IP address itself, and these codes are deleted within two days.
The tools we use
Google Analytics, Microsoft Clarity, and RB2B run only on our marketing site (getpublicsignal.com), not in the interactive demo.
- Google Analytics 4 (Google) measures site traffic and how visitors use the site. Learn more in Google’s Privacy Policy.
- Microsoft Clarity (Microsoft) creates heatmaps and session recordings that show how visitors navigate and interact with pages, so we can improve the site. Text typed into form fields is masked. Learn more in the Microsoft Privacy Statement.
- RB2B helps us understand which businesses visit our site. For some visitors in the United States, RB2B may match a visit to professional information such as a name, job title, company, work email address, and professional profile (for example, LinkedIn). We use this to understand our audience and may contact identified business visitors about our services.
- Vercel hosts the site and the demo and keeps standard request logs (such as IP address, page address, and request details) for security and reliability.
- Supabase hosts the database that stores demo submissions and early access requests.
- Calendly and Tally handle call bookings and some forms. Information you submit through them is also governed by their privacy policies.
How we use information
- To operate, secure, and improve the site
- To understand which content and pages are useful
- To respond to your requests, schedule calls, and follow up on early access requests
- To understand interest in the interactive demo and prevent abuse
- To contact business visitors and prospects about our services
- To comply with legal obligations
How we share information
We share information with the service providers listed above so they can perform services for us, and when required by law or to protect our rights. We do not sell your personal information for money. If our business is sold or reorganized, information may transfer as part of that transaction.
Your choices
- Opt out of being identified or contacted. Email josh@getpublicsignal.com and we will stop contacting you and remove you from our records where we can.
- Google Analytics. Install the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on.
- Cookies. Most browsers let you block or delete cookies. Some site features may not work as expected if you do.
- Marketing email. Every marketing email we send includes a way to unsubscribe.
Your privacy rights
Depending on where you live (for example, California and several other U.S. states), you may have the right to know what personal information we hold about you, to request that we correct or delete it, and to opt out of certain uses, including any sharing for targeted advertising. To make a request, email josh@getpublicsignal.com. We will verify your request and respond within the time the law requires, and we will not treat you differently for exercising your rights.
Children
The site is intended for business professionals and is not directed to children under 16. We do not knowingly collect information from children.
Security and retention
We use reasonable safeguards to protect information. Demo submissions and early access requests can be read only by our team; they are not available to other visitors or through our website. No website or transmission is completely secure.
We keep demo submissions for 30 days, early access requests until you ask us to remove them (24 months at most), and anti-spam codes for up to two days. Copies in our providers’ backups and logs are deleted on their own schedules. Otherwise we keep information only as long as we need it for the purposes above or as required by law.
Public Signal does not offer accounts, connections to your other tools, or AI features yet. We will update this policy before we launch them.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will change the effective date at the top of this page.
